I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Economics at Purdue University. I specialize in economics of crime, health policy and aging. I have extensive background in policy-oriented research and empirical work beginning from my bachelor's degree days, where I conducted surveys in rural farming communities in India, continuing through my masters’ program in applied economics and econometrics where I focused on developing software and analytical skills. Navigating a doctoral degree in Economics I am working with survey and administrative data of high granularity. Although I have received rigorous training in theoretical and structural work during my masters’ and PhD coursework, I find myself much more motivated towards hands on, empirical analysis, which can be implemented to solve real-life problems.
I am on the job market in the 2022-2023 season. Please feel free to reach out if you think I would be a good fit for your academic department or industry research group.
